    • Akshardham Temple is located on the banks of river Yamuna. The temple is seated on shoulders of 1070 feet long Gajendra peeth. Elephants are grand yet gentle animals and it symbolises peace with nature, with humans and with God. Once you enter mandir you will see 10 GATES. It symbolizes ten directions, which described in the Vedic culture. They reflect the belief of drawing all the positive and auspicious energy from every direction to the visitors. The heart of the whole complex is Swaminarayan Mandir, which is located in the centre of Akshardham temple complex. The mandir enshrines 11ft tall-gilded statue of Bagawan Swaminarayan. It reaches 141 feet high in sky, 316 feet wide and 356 feet long. It also consists of 234 intricately sculpted pillars, 9 magnificent domes, 20 quadrangle spires and about 20,000 statues of Indian Devis and Devtas.

The great mosque of Old Delhi is the final architectural extravagance of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees.
    • Red Fort – a World Heritage Site (Drive Pass)* : The Red sandstone walls of the massive Red Fort (Lal Qila) is one of the most beautiful forts of the Mughal era built by Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor. The fort has up to two kilometers of walls, which are as high as eighteen meters. In 1997, UNESCO declared it as a World Heritage Site.
    • Raj Ghat: Raj Ghat is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. It was here where Mahatma Gandhi’s last rites performed on January 31, 1948, a day after his death.
    • Humayun’s Tomb: Humayun’s tomb believed to have designed by his widow. Its plan based on the description of Islamic paradise gardens, known to have inspired the Taj Mahal and many later Mughal tombs.
    • Lotus Temple (Bahai): The mashriq is characterized by a nine-sided construction, in keeping with the Bahá’í belief in the mystical properties of the number nine. The Bahai’s Mashriq al-adhkār, better known as the “Lotus Temple is shaped like a half opened Lotus flower, is open to all faiths and is an ideal place for meditation and obtaining peace and tranquility. Lotus temple in Delhi is one of the seven Bahai worship temples across the world. Others are at Wilmette, Panama city, Sydney, Apia, Frankfurt and Kampala.
    • Qutub Minar (a World Heritage Site): Qutab Minar is one of the finest examples of Indo Islamic architecture, Qutub Minar is the highest brick minaret in the world. The height of Qutub Minar is 72.5 metres. There are 379 stairs inside the tower, which lead to the top. The diameter of Qutub Minar is 14.32 metres at the base and 2.75 metres at the top. The Iron Pillar in the Qutub Minar complex has been standing tall without rusting for over 2000 years.
    • Jantar Mantar: Maharajah Sawaii Jai Singh II of Jaipur constructed five astronomical observatories in north India. The observatories, or “Jantar Mantars” as they are commonly known, incorporate multiple buildings of unique form, each with a specialized function for astronomical measurement.

    • Agra Fort: The Agra Fort one time served as the residence of Mughal emperors.The fort is a beautiful example of Mughal design, featuring a combination of Islamic, Persian, Turkish and South-Asian architecture. The Fort decorated with the region’s famous pietra dura inlays, which feature semi-precious stones carefully inset into beautiful white marble in intricate designs. Its majectic exterior walls are made of burgundy sandstone and dominate the landscape, once responsible for striking fear into the hearts of invaders. It is also in Agra Fort that his son Aurangazed imprisoned Shah Jahan, the builder of the Taj Mahal. Shah Jahan spent his last years gazing out the window at the Taj Mahal.
    • Taj Mahal: The Taj Mahal is one of the masterpieces of the Mughal architecture in India. The well-crafted marble structure is a mausoleum, an enduring monument to the love of a husband for his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is said that 20,000 stone carvers, masons, and artists from across India and as far as Turkey and Iraq were employed under a team of architects to build the Taj Mahal in the lush gardens on the banks of Agra’s Yamuna River.
